Public relations

Press coverage that makes people trust you before they meet you

We build the media story around your brand, pitch it to the outlets that matter to your audience, and turn coverage into a permanent credibility asset you can point to for years.

Editorial placement concept An open publication page with a headline block and three floating media tiles representing press features.

What this service is

Public relations, run as a placement program rather than a press release blast

Public relations is the work of shaping how your company, your founder or your artist is described in public. Our program covers the full path: what the story is, who should publish it, how it is pitched and what the coverage is used for afterwards.

This service is built for founders, executives, artists, medical and legal professionals, product brands and public figures who need recognized third party coverage rather than self published claims.

It matters because buyers, journalists, partners and platforms all check the same thing before they commit: what does the open web say about you. A name with credible coverage behind it survives that check. A name with nothing behind it does not.

Our placement work spans contracted and sponsored features as well as pitched editorial. Sponsored placements carry clear paid content disclosures, consistent with FTC guidance on native advertising.

Who it is for

Brands and people who already have something real to say and need the right rooms to say it in.

What you walk away with

Published articles under your name or about your work, plus the assets and links that keep working after the campaign.

Problems we solve

The reasons clients call us about PR

Most PR problems are not a lack of effort. They are a lack of access, structure and a story worth publishing.

Nobody has heard of you yet

Your work is good, your search results are thin, and prospects have no third party proof to reassure them.

Pitches go unanswered

You have emailed journalists and heard nothing back. Without relationships and a clear angle, cold pitching rarely lands.

Coverage that leads nowhere

Scattered mentions in low quality outlets that no one reads, no one cites, and Google does not rank.

A competitor owns the narrative

Someone in your category is quoted as the expert every time, and that position keeps compounding for them.

A launch with no audience

A funding round, product, book, film or release is coming and there is no plan to put it in front of anyone.

No usable proof assets

Nothing credible to put on your site, in a deck, in a bio or in front of a platform reviewing your account.

Service deliverables

What Viral Spike Marketing provides

Every engagement is scoped in writing before it starts, so you know the outlets, the format and the timeline you are buying.

Media strategy

Positioning, target outlet list by tier and audience, campaign sequencing and the message you want repeated.

Story development

Angles, narrative, quotes, bio and supporting materials written to meet editorial standards rather than ad copy standards.

Pitching and outreach

Direct outreach to editors, writers and contributors with the angle matched to what that publication actually runs.

Placement in recognized publications

Contracted, sponsored and pitched features. Our published work includes New York Post, Forbes, USA Today, Entrepreneur, Billboard, Men’s Journal and Fox affiliates.

Proof and usage assets

Links, logos and copy formatted for your website, bio, decks and profiles, with correct as seen in usage rules.

Visibility follow through

Coverage indexed, linked from your site and structured so search engines and AI assistants can associate it with your name.

Guaranteed placement options exist for specific publications and are confirmed in writing before payment, subject to outlet availability and editorial requirements. Anything outside a confirmed guarantee is pitched on merit and cannot be promised.

Benefits

What credible coverage changes in your business

Press is not a vanity purchase. It is the layer of proof that shortens every other conversation you are in.

  • Prospects who research you find recognized publications instead of empty search results
  • Sales conversations start further along because credibility is established before the call
  • Your name gains sources that search engines and AI assistants can cite when they describe you
  • Positive coverage occupies page one space that would otherwise be open to anyone
  • Partners, bookers, investors and platforms get the third party validation they ask for
  • Coverage becomes a durable asset rather than a one week spike in attention

Our process

How a Viral Spike PR campaign runs

Five stages, with a written scope before stage two and a report you can forward at the end.

  1. Discovery and positioning

We learn the business, the goal behind the coverage and the audience you need to reach, then define the angle that earns attention.

  2. Outlet mapping and scope

You receive a target list by tier with format, timeline and cost for each route, including which placements can be confirmed in advance.

  3. Story build

We write the narrative, quotes and supporting material, and prepare anything an editor will ask for before they ask for it.

  4. Outreach and placement

Pitching and coordination with editors and contributors, through to scheduling and publication.

  5. Amplify and report

Live links delivered, coverage put to work on your site and profiles, and a summary of everything published.

Frequently asked questions

Public relations questions we are asked most

Can you guarantee I will be published?
Certain placements can be confirmed in advance, and when they are we put the publication, the format and the conditions in writing before you pay. Pitched editorial cannot be guaranteed because the decision belongs to the editor. We tell you which route you are buying.
How long does a PR campaign take?
Scoping and story build usually run one to two weeks. Publication timing depends on the outlet and the route, from days for confirmed placements to several weeks for pitched features. Your scope states the expected window.
What is the difference between sponsored and earned coverage?
Sponsored or contracted coverage is placed through a paid arrangement with the publication and carries a paid content disclosure. Earned coverage is pitched on merit and published at the editor’s discretion. Both appear under your name, and we tell you which one a given placement is.
Do I need a news hook to get coverage?
It helps, but it is not always required. A funding round, launch, milestone, data set or strong personal story all work. If there is no hook yet, we build the angle during story development.
Will press help my Google results?
Coverage on established publications often ranks for your name and becomes a source AI assistants can draw from. We structure and link coverage to support that, but no agency can promise a position in search or in an AI answer.
Do you work with clients outside New Jersey?
Yes. We are based in New Jersey and work with clients across the United States and internationally. The work is run remotely by email and shared documents.
